Educator Workshop: Teaching Students About Data Management (Level 1)

Want to prepare your students for the future? Jobs in data management are among the most demanded positions in the tech sector. With recent media reports of data breaches, it is becoming more important to understand relational data and the role it plays in our daily lives.

We'll walk you through how website development changes when you’re dealing with user data. Included in the workshop will be a brief overview of how websites with databases work, a full walkthrough on setting up the tools your students will need to create, edit, and upload databases, a brief overview of web development concepts, and how to upload and query a database with SQL. This workshop is ideal for those schools working through our Data Dev track.

Attendees should bring a laptop.
